A name people would search for
The name appears on the product page, in the marketplace, in the web address and in the title search engines show, for example “Orbital Study – Classic T-Shirt by @yourname”. It can be up to 50 characters long.
- Say what the design shows. “Bouldering Cat” beats “Design #4”.
- Add the theme when it helps: “Prague Skyline Line Art”, “Night Shift Nurse Club”.
- Leave out the garment type. Dezajn adds it to the page title and web address automatically.
- Never use other brands’ names or trade marks, not even as keywords.
A description that does two jobs
You have up to 300 characters. Write for a person first: what the design shows, the idea behind it and who it is for. When the description is at least 40 characters long, Dezajn also uses it as the summary in search results, cut to about 160 characters, so put the most important words first.
For example: “A bouldering cat mid-dyno, drawn in one thick line. For climbers who spend more time at the wall than at home. Looks best on black.”
Mockups and page style
Product images are made from your design on the real garment. In the studio you can set the mockup background, a colour or your own image, and the theme and pattern of the product page.
- Contrast the background with the garment, not with the artwork: a light or warm tone behind a black shirt, a deeper tone behind a white one.
- Keep it quiet. A busy photo competes with the design.
- Stay consistent. One background style across a collection makes your profile look like a brand.
- Size background images well. Background images can be up to 50 MB; a square image of about 2048 × 2048 pixels works best.
Editing after publishing
You can edit the name and description of a published product at any time. The web address follows the new name and the old address redirects to it, so links you have already shared keep working. To change the artwork, garment, colours or price, create a new product in the studio.
Frequently asked questions
How long should a product name be?
Short enough to read at a glance; two to five words usually works. The limit on Dezajn is 50 characters.
Do product descriptions help with Google?
They can. A description of at least 40 characters becomes the summary shown in search results, cut to about 160 characters. A clear, specific description also helps shoppers decide.
Can I change the design after publishing?
You can change the name and description. To change the artwork, garment, colours or price, create a new product from the studio.
