Designer Terms

These terms govern the designer relationship with Dezajn, including IP warranties, moderation, creator earnings, payout timing, Stripe onboarding, reserves, and clawbacks.

Version 2026-04-21

1. Platform role

Designers do not become the customer-facing seller on buyer checkout. Dezajn contracts with buyers as the seller of record for physical goods sold through the platform. Designers use the marketplace to offer designs and products and may earn a share of completed product sales under these terms.

2. IP ownership and platform content permission

Designers must own or control the rights needed for every uploaded design, product title, description, and asset. Designers give Dezajn the non-exclusive operational permission needed to host, display, market, reproduce on products, fulfill, moderate, and sell approved marketplace products. This permission is part of operating the marketplace and does not by itself make designer payouts royalties or fees for services supplied to Dezajn.

3. Warranties and prohibited content

Designers warrant that their content does not infringe third-party rights and does not contain illegal, deceptive, hateful, unsafe, or otherwise prohibited content. Dezajn may suspend, reject, delist, or remove submissions where legal or policy risk exists.

4. Moderation, takedowns, and disputes

Dezajn may pause payouts, remove content, or place reserves where infringement, fraud, refund risk, or illegal-content reports exist. Designers must cooperate with verification, takedown, complaint, and DSA handling requests.

5. Payouts, reserves, clawbacks, and Stripe

Designer balances represent creator earnings, commission, or revenue share from completed marketplace product sales. They are not treated by Dezajn as royalties, licence fees, or fees for services supplied by the designer to Dezajn, unless mandatory law requires a different treatment. Payouts are processed by Dezajn through Stripe Connect Express after release and withdrawal approval.

Dezajn may hold reserves, offset refunds, chargebacks, disputes, fraud losses, or fulfillment corrections against future designer balances. Designers must complete the required Stripe onboarding and keep payout details accurate.

Dezajn may provide payout confirmations, payout statements, platform tax statements, or other records showing creator earnings, adjustments, and amounts paid. These documents evidence marketplace payouts and do not change the relationship into a designer invoice for services to Dezajn unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

6. Taxes and eligibility

Designers are responsible for their own tax reporting on payouts received from Dezajn unless mandatory law requires otherwise. Designers must provide accurate information needed for Stripe onboarding, payout processing, platform tax reporting, sanctions screening, fraud prevention, and other compliance checks. By using designer functionality, the designer confirms they are legally capable of entering a binding agreement and, where applicable, operating as a business or self-employed person.

7. Termination

Dezajn may suspend or terminate designer access for breach, legal risk, repeated customer complaints, fraud, or platform abuse. Questions about designer operations can be sent to support@dezajn.com.
