Make your profile look like a brand
Your profile is your store. Anyone who likes one product lands there next, so make it worth browsing:
- A profile photo or logo, and a banner that shows your style.
- A short bio of up to 200 characters: who you are and what you design.
- Your social links to X, Instagram, YouTube or TikTok, so visitors can follow you.
- A store theme, and your strongest product first. Drag products to reorder them; the first one is featured.
Your profile address is dezajn.com/u/ followed by your username. Put it in the bio of every social account.
Launch a small collection, not a single design
Three to ten designs around one theme give visitors a reason to browse and a reason to follow you. One design is a guess; a collection starts to look like a brand.
Give people choices that suit them: the same idea on a T-shirt and on a hoodie, or a light and a dark version. See how to design a T-shirt people want to buy for the design side.
Plan your launch week
Newer products get extra chances to be seen in the marketplace. Interest during that time, such as views, favourites, cart additions and sales, also counts towards how often products are shown. So share at launch, not weeks later.
- Publish, then post the product or profile link on your own accounts the same day.
- Message 10 to 20 people personally who fit the audience. A direct message works better than a public post.
- Ask friends to favourite the products they like, even if they are not buying right now.
- Post in communities you belong to where sharing your own work is welcome.
- Point people to Drop Arena. In Drop Arena the community votes between designs, and a product that wins most of its matchups after at least 10 votes can become an Arena favourite.
Learn from your first numbers
Your dashboard shows views, favourites, cart additions, orders and earnings for every product. Read them together:
| What you see | What it usually means | What to try |
|---|---|---|
| Few views | Not enough people see the product | Share it more, and sharpen the name and description |
| Views, but few favourites or cart additions | The design or the presentation does not convince | Simplify the design, try another garment colour or a quieter mockup background |
| Cart additions, but no orders | Something makes people hesitate at checkout, often the price | Use lower earnings on your next products, and offer a second item worth adding |
Treat the first month as an experiment. Publish regularly, do more of the themes that earn favourites and cart additions, and drop the ones that do not. Publishing does not guarantee sales on any platform.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to get a first sale?
It varies a lot. Designers who share with a community that fits the design often sell in their first weeks; without any promotion it can take much longer, or not happen at all.
Do I need followers to start?
No, but a few interested people help a lot. Most first sales come from people who already know you or share your interest; the marketplace helps products that already get attention reach more people.
Can I buy my own product?
Yes, you can order your own products like any customer. Photos of you or your friends wearing the real garment are far more convincing than mockups.
